Researcher including those of Indian-Origins have developed an app named HUSH that may reduce our Phone's battery drainage by suppressing the background apps efficiently.
They sad in an interview that even when the phone is in sleep mode many background applications are constantly running which leads to battery drainage without the users consent. So this app will make all the background applications to stop in such a way that only necessary apps will work and all the rest will be paused or one can say that it will be stopped.
Out of the 45.9% of daily battery drain when the screen is off, 28.9% is due to apps that frequently wake up and run in the background, the researchers said. Out of this 28.9%, researchers have shown how to save 15.7% with HUSH. "During screen-off, the phone hardware should enter the sleep state, draining close to zero power," Y Charlie Hu, professor at Purdue Univeristy, said, adding, "Apps wake the phone up periodically to do useful things, but they do not let the phone go back to sleep because of software bugs and, specifically , due to the incorrect use of Android power control application programming interfaces called wakelocks."
If it becomes the reality then we all would be very happy as we all want our phone;s battery to stay last longer.
